Microsoft’s OneDrive and Outlook.com are leaking unique user identifiers in plain text. A developer who goes by the name of ramen-hero has said that both Outlook.com, OneDrive, and Microsoft’s account pages incorporate a unique user identifier known as CID in URLs. The CID is a 64-bit integer (usually formatted in unsigned hexadecimal form) associated with each Microsoft account and used in Microsoft APIs for user identification. Ramen-hero has made a post on aptly named, Annoyed Microsoft User, detailing how Microsoft is leaking this CIDs in plain text to anyone who wants them.

The new Android malware, dubbed Autolycos, was discovered by Maxime Ingrao, a security researcher at cybersecurity company Evina. The malware, which was first identified by Ingrao in June 2021, has infected eight apps on the Play Store that have been downloaded over three million times. All these malicious apps lured users into downloading them by offering additional functionality for their camera or keyboard. Ingrao pointed out that these malicious apps asked users for authorization to read SMS text on the smartphone after installation.

2 years after the serial whistleblower from NSA, Edward Snowden leaked now world famous NSA documents, today the in-house newsletters from the clandestine National Security Agency have been published online. The newsletters form a part of the treasure trove that Snowden had leaked in 2013, but were not published online. The Intercept released on Monday the first batch of nine years’ worth of NSA newsletters.
